How To Apply

Before completing the online Application Form, you are strongly advised to compare the Beneficiary with the sort of musicians we help, and compare the proposed activity with the sort of opportunities we support, by going to Who We Help and  How We Help respectively.

The form has seven sections and takes about 30-60 minutes to complete:

  • Applicant's details

  • Beneficiary's details

  • Course/activity details

  • Beneficiary's musical experience

  • Family/household circumstances

  • Reference

  • Amount of funding requested

Our Board of Trustees consider all applications promptly.  Those that meet the charity’s funding criteria may be approved, subject to receiving a suitably supporting reference from the nominated referee.  You should then receive a response from us via email within ten working days of submission.

The form must be completed by an adult aged 18 years or over. This is the Applicant. Normally the application will be for an award on behalf of a young person aged between 11 and 18 years - the Beneficiary.

The Beneficiary can complete this form only if aged 18 or over at the time the form is submitted, in which case they will be both the Applicant and Beneficiary. But in most cases, the Applicant will be the Beneficiary’s parent or carer.
